A duo first coming together for years in a previous metal outfit, ClockTowers officially hit the scene in 2022. Choosing to develop the material for this album Genesis over a regular routine of meeting two to three days a week for two years in a DIY home studio setting, it’s evident that vocalist Tarek Puska and instrumentalist Dakota Logan (bass, guitars, and drums) produce a set of material that contains a mix of classic hard rock, heavy metal, and doom-oriented, occult-like textures. What’s very intriguing as well is the fact that there’s a twenty-six-year age gap between the two musicians – which probably serves the diverse influences at play well in terms of interpretation from the past to the present outlook on heavy music.
